New Images For Batman v. Superman Are Starting To Leak! Possible Major Spoilers Ahead.

With Batman v. Superman's premiere date right around the corner, new details and images are starting to emerge. The latest is that of a set of pictures that could or could not be potential spoilers, it all depends on the context in which it will be used in the film. And we'll get into that in a bit.

From what we have been getting and the arc that the film is taking inspiration from, this iteration of Batman will be that of a seasoned vigilante who is not above putting a real hurting unto his opponents. His new methods of fighting crime and those whom he perceives as being a danger to the well-being of his city are even viewed by some as a "brand of terror".
The results cannot be argued since the crime in Gotham City are said to be at an all-time low, therefore, he seems content on employing every trick in the book available to him. And he will need all those tricks and every single one of his gadgets when he takes on The Man of Steel.
The first picture we have is that of the fight between The Dark Knight and Superman which seems to be an all-out war that will leave him battered regardless of his  armored suit.

Funeral for a Friend?!

The second picture is that of Bruce Wayne at a funeral with a very somber look on his face. Next to him is none other than Diana Prince.

Given what we know from information that has been revealed in interviews by the cast, crew and people that have gotten inside access, along with some footage from the trailers, Diana Prince (Wonder Woman's alter ego) is a new resident of Metropolis and thus is not on a real friendly stage with either of the titular superheroes. Which begs the question, "who do Diana and Bruce have in common as to be saddened by the loss of that person?" A more intriguing and reasonable question would be, who do Wonder Woman and Batman have in common? Well, how about Superman?

With The Dark Knight going all out in trying to take The Man of Steel down and Lex Luthor trying near the impossible to "neutralize" him, for lack of a better word, could Superman's downfall be out of the question? An image from a private screening reveals an out for the count Superman.

This image from a private screening shows that Superman, in fact, does bleed.

The man or being responsible could be up for debate but if we were to go by comic lore, it will point directly at Doomsday. Doomsday who in this case is created by Lex Luthor from the remains of General Zod (Michael Shannon) to destroy Superman, could very well be the one who does the deed as his calling card to fame was that on his very first appearance was able to match Superman blow by blow in the 1992 story arc, Death of Superman.

A couple of weeks back, EW reporter, Anthony Breznican, who has seen the film and made a series of articles with the actors and Zack Snyder in order to get a better grasp as to what sets the heroes off on a collision course, shared some opinions/views pertaining to the film.

Number five could very well reference the scene that concludes with Superman on the floor incapacitated.

There are a couple of different reports/theories/rumors mainly from people who claim to have seen the film and some fan theories as to what actually happened that led to this picture of Superman.
One is that towards the end, while the Trinity are fighting an out of control Doomsday Superman sacrifices himself in an attempt to stop/kill Doomsday.

The second of those, according to some people  will not be the outcome of the battle between Superman and Doomsday but instead is a scenario that occurs in the often mentioned and confirmed Batman: Knightmare scene.
We have seen parts of the Batman: Knightmare sequence in the trailers already in which The Dark Knight fights soldiers who are sporting the insignia of Superman on their uniforms. Along with that, there was a horde of parademons in attack mode.
Some reports claim that Darkseid is the one to deliver the fatal blow. In this "knightmare", besides the parademons hinting at Darkseid, his "calling card", the Omega symbol is also featured in a shot of what appears to be a destroyed Metropolis.

What do you guys think? Will Superman really bite the dust when it is all said and done or could this be a "knightmare" induced vision?

Following the events of Man of Steel, Gotham City-based vigilante Batman travels to Metropolis to preemptively combat Superman, while another threat endangers humankind.
