Spider Man: Homecoming - First Official Trailer

IMG: Sony Pictures / Marvel Studios

Like Spidey, I'm finally swinging back into action and what better way to do it than with the release of the first official trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man film which is set to hit theaters next year (2017).

With the renewed interest for more Spider-Man after his show-stealing appearance in Captain America: Civil War, the wait for a new spidey film is almost over.
So, feast your eyes on the ALL NEW, SPECTACULAR, and AMAZING first official trailer for the newest iteration of your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

If there were any doubts as to how intertwined the worlds of Spider-Man (Sony Pictures) and the Avengers (Marvel Studios) were going to be, rest easy as they seem to be more connected than just a cameo here or there.
In the first official trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, we can see obviously, that Tony Stark is still kind of keeping tabs on Peter. While it could be that he is just there to give him advice on what to do, or not to do, on his quest to become a hero, he could very well be there because of ulterior motives. One of them being, Chitauri technology, i.e. weapons that might have been recovered from the Battle of New York and possibly sold in the black market to be reverse-engineered by people with not so good intentions. As we can see from at beginning of the trailer, the "plasma-cutter" has a somewhat relative look to the weapons used by the Chitauri, not only that but the cannon used by the very menacing Vulture (Michael Keaton) to blast through the cruise ship does as well. Also, could the Vulture's wings/suit be powered by the same kind of tech that is powering those weapons? It kind of seems like it.
How bad is the Vulture by the way? From the looks of things, bad enough that Iron Man and Spider-Man seem like they have to team up to take him down. Stay tuned and find out when the film releases in cinemas on July 17, 2017.

BONUS:

There is also an international trailer with new footage that was released after the trailer above premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live, check it out.

WHIH Newsfront Keeps You Up To Date With The Conflicts The Avengers Are Facing

Img: Marvel Studios

If you are planning on attending your local cinema this weekend to catch Captain America: Civil War but are a bit out of the loop as to what drives the conflict between the Avengers, then fear not, as the latest videos from WHIH: Newsfront which is hosted by Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb), sheds a little light onto the complicated situation that the Avengers are facing.

Ms. Everhart who is joined by political correspondent Will Adams will debate and share their points as to whether the actions taken by the Avengers are justified when the city or country that they try to save are left with major destructions or sometimes even left in ruins.

President Ellis makes an appearance to try and make sense of the incidents and gives his opinions on what stance the government will take in the matter. Take a look at the following videos and see if you share their points of view as it pertains to The Avengers actions and the consequences.

Videos are in chronological with the latest at the bottom, which incidentally happens to kick off "The War".

WHIH Newsfront is a pretty good gimmick by Marvel Studios as it helps give a little more backstory to characters like it was done with Ant-Man. Before we got to see Paul Rudd in theaters donning the Ant-Man suit, we had a couple of videos where we got a glimpse as to why he was imprisoned at the start of the movie. Now, we get a small "news clips" discussing the fallout of the Avengers actions and the general public's opinion when their homes, businesses, entire neighborhoods are left in shambles as Earth's Mightiest Heroes do battle trying to prevent major catastrophes but at the same time leave an enormous amount of collateral damage in the wake of their battles.

Captain America: Civil War is the follow-up to 2014's hugely popular Captain America: The Winter Soldier and it is the third in the Captain America series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is currently on its opening weekend in international markets and is set to release in North America on May 6, 2016.
The film is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence, gunplay and action throughout.
Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Starring:
Chris Evans: Steve Rogers/Captain America

Robert Downey Jr: Tony Stark/Iron Man

Sebastian Stan: Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier

Scarlett Johansson: Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow

Jeremy Renner: Clint Barton/Hawkeye

Chadwick Boseman: T'Challa/Black Panther

Don Cheadle: James "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine

Elizabeth Olsen: Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch

In Celebration of Captain America: Civil War, Microsoft is Giving Away THREE Special Edition Xbox One

Microsoft is joining in on the superhero fun and craze that surrounds the latest release from Marvel Studios' Captain America: Civil War, and to mark this occasion has created a unique Special Edition Xbox One. What is even more exciting, is that they are planning on giving them (three consoles/units to be exact) away for free.

This exclusive console was "created" by Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
The base color (which is a bit weird considering Iron Man's iconic armor is red and gold) is white and features an Arc Reactor similar to the one used to power the Iron Man armor, along with a Stark Industries logo right above it just to remind you that the power source/design is legit and not some cheap malfunctioning knock off.
The Arc Reactor is an actual working prop as it lights up whenever the console is being used. The same goes for the controller, white color base with the buttons covered in black. The power button on the controller loses it's trademark X insignia and is replaced with a mini arc reactor that also lights up during use.
Take a closer look in the video below.

The console design resembles more one of the many armors that we got a chance to see during 2013's Iron Man 3, more specifically the Mark 39 Sub Orbital Suit codenamed "Gemini".
There are three units that sport this design, and they will be given away via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. One per social media outlet.
However, there is a catch to this giveaway, and that is that the contest is only open to all current residents of France.

What do think about this design?
Would you shell out the cash for one if it were to hit retailers or would you like it better if it were the classic red and gold color scheme?
Or a bit more, would you like for Microsoft to release a Captain America inspired Xbox One to commemorate the U.S. movie premiere coming up next week?

Check Out Two New International Trailers for Captain America: Civil War! Also, Cool New Imax Posters!

We won't get to see Captain America: Civil War in theaters until May 6th, but internationally, the film will release a week early as has been the case with previous releases from Marvel Studios.

One of those lucky countries to premiere the film one whole week before it releases stateside is Germany, and to keep drumming up they hype they have gotten two new trailers.
In them, we get a couple of new shots that we hadn't yet seen in any trailers released in the States.
The first one features a character whom we hardly had any new information other than being Baron Zemo and that he is portrayed by Daniel Bruhl.
The second gives us a cool new shot of Ant-Man in action and doing what looks like major damage.
Check 'em out!!

With almost every Marvel Studios, AMC Theaters have released a set of limited edition posters created by the talented folks from Poster Posse for their IMAX screenings, and this time is no different.
This time, the honor goes to Matt Ferguson who has collaborated time and again with Marvel Studios and delivered a pretty spectacular set of three posters that when put together takes us into the heart of the battle as these beloved superheroes do battle.

There is a new picture/post from Marvel revealing the dates that the posters will be handed out. One could speculate that the posters won't be randomized, but instead will be handed out on certain dates, as there are three separate given dates as to when you could get your claws on them.

Who knows though, maybe they will be randomized and if you go with a friend or two, you could get the complete set in one fell swoop.
